Make sure to bring your camera when you visit the Cañada Course, which is situated across the street from the clubhouse and boasts stunning mountain views from all holes. Play through saguaro capped hillsides surrounded by natural desert terrain, and enjoy manicured fairways and spectacular views of the Catalina Mountains and desert wildlife. The 183 yard 8th hole overlooks the city, and was voted the toughest par 3 in Tucson. It is bordered by desert on both the right and left, and the green is guarded by a large bunker in front. Everyone is happy with a par 3 here! The tenth hole kicks your back nine off with a bang. The 453 yard par 4 has a desert wash down the entire right hand side and some precisely placed mesquite trees on the left requiring golfers to hit a drive that is both long and straight. From the fairway, you still have a long iron to a narrow elevated green. The 533 yard 16th hole is a true risk/reward par 5. If you’re feeling strong, why not attempt to carry the wash that cuts across the fairway 260 yards from the tee. If you navigate the drive, the green is reachable, but requires a carry over a large pond. Birdies or double bogies are in play here.
