Mountain Shadows Golf Course

5445 E. Lincoln Dr., Paradise Valley, AZ, 85253
Mountain Shadows Golf Course in Paradise Valley, Arizona is one of the most fun golf experiences in the vast Phoenix-Scottsdale golf mecca. When you have to tee time to play this fabulous par-3 executive course, you can count on a fun, quick and highly scenic round. Ever since this sporty?playing field debuted in 2017 in tandem with the new Mountain Shadows resort, it has been phenomenally popular. Mountain Shadows Golf Course is a remake of an old favorite in the Valley of the Sun. Back in 1961 course architect Jack Snyder originally laid out a short, par-56 resort course that in its heyday was a hotspot for money games among club and touring professionals as well as a magnet for celebrities. While that course and the accompanying resort eventually faded away, the current version of Mountain Shadows Golf Course is an environmentally friendly design by Forrest Richardson, who, not coincidentally, was a longtime protege of Jack Snyder. Richardson's layout utilizes less than 14 acres of irrigated turf. The rest of the site, which winds around residences and the chic, modern Mountain Shadows resort, consists of desert areas and water features. The fun at Mountain Shadows Golf Club begins right from the opening tee shot, as it plays straight toward Camelback Mountain. The first four holes, in fact, proceed toward that iconic peak. Thereafter, the routing heads to the interior of the property before eventually coming back to the Mountain Shadows resort hotel from which it started. Along the way, exciting design features such as intriguing slopes, an island-like green, a Redan-style green, a Biarritz, a punchbowl, and a plateau green add one thrill after another to Mountain Shadows Golf Course. Perhaps the most unusual twist to the round consists of consecutive holes on the back nine that share a double green. With lush fairway turf, minimal bunkering, and large, receptive greens, players of all skill levels can handle the challenges of Mountain Shadows Golf Course. Distance isn t a factor either, as the longest of the three sets of tee markers maxes out at 2,210 yards. Mountain Shadows Golf Course has earned a reputation for exquisite course conditioning. The expected pace of play is set at three hours, though if the course isn t busy, players can finish in well under two hours. The only warmup facility at the course is a practice green that can be used for putting and chipping. Mountain Shadows Golf Course has a small golf shop. Rusty s patio and lounge is the club s popular restaurant and bar. Whether you re looking to work on your short game or to relax and enjoy a casual round, make a tee time to play the extraordinary Mountain Shadows Golf Course in Paradise Valley.?
